GERMANTOWN, WI --- Christian Family Solutions (CFS) has named Dr. Kathryn Quinn Johnson to the position of medical director for its counseling care and services division. Dr. Johnson will lead the medical management team, which includes prescribers who serve clients receiving mental health services at CFS.
“The addition of a medical director enhances our multidisciplinary approach to mental health treatment,” says Andrea Semmann, vice president of operations for CFS. “Dr. Johnson adds a new level of expertise and experience to our team, bringing additional depth to treatment planning and client care.”
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association. She is certified in general adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, in addiction medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties, and in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She received her DO from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Virginia Tech Carilion Psychiatry.
In addition, CFS welcomes three more professionals to its medication management team:
- Dr. Jeanne Allen (PSYD, RN, LP, APRN, CNS) is a staff psychologist specializing in psychological and learning assessment of children, teens and adults. Dr. Allen combines therapy and psychological assessments with medication management and consultation. She will see clients primarily through the CFS Rochester, MN location and through telehealth.
- Dr. John Nwabugwu (PMHNP) joins CFS as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Prescriber. Dr. Nwabugwu specializes in depression, bipolar, anxiety, psychotic disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, OCD, dysthymic, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder and cyclothymic disorder. He is a proponent of a dual therapy approach which includes psychotherapy and psychopharmacological intervention. He will see clients primarily at the CFS Rochester, MN location and through telehealth.
- Tara Bully (PMHNP) joins CFS as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Prescriber based in Germantown, WI, and serving Wisconsin clients through telehealth.
To support this enhanced team, Rachel Lark has been promoted to Manager of the CFS Medication Management team and Catherine Bidwell is promoted to medication management support specialist. Rachel and Catherine manage client calls for medication related concerns and help the prescribers manage their active client list.
